The saying “dance like nobody’s watching” has a more intrinsic meaning to those who literally can’t watch the dancing being done.  It never occurred to me that dancing might be something a visually impaired or blind person wouldn’t attempt doing.  Apparently there’s more to just hearing the music and going with the flow.  A lot of people I have known often close their eyes and get lost in the music and just move as their body calls them to do.  Organized dancing is obviously not that lenient.  There are however, groups that do gather to do just that, that are specifically for those with limited or no eyesight.
